If you are resident in the UK and you have a photocopying licence with the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) please check the terms of your licence.
If your photocopying request falls within the terms of your licence, you may proceed without seeking further permission. If your request exceeds the terms of your CLA licence, please contact the CLA directly with your request. If you do not have a CLA licence, please use this form.
If you would like to use a text extract published in a Polity book please check the copyright page and acknowledgements section of the book for details of the copyright holder.
If the extract is less than 400 words in length, or you wish to use a series of extracts from any one book where the total length of the extracts is less than 800 words, you do not need our permission to use this material as it falls within the accepted guidelines on 'fair dealing'. Please use the material, but ensure that you give due acknowledgement to author, title and publisher.
