Kendra A. King

Kendra A. King is Associate Professor of Politics and Director of the Rich Foundation Urban Leadership Program at Oglethorpe University.  Dr King moved from the University of Georgia to take up her post at Oglethorpe three years ago.  Her teaching includes State and Local Government and in-depth studies such as From Montgomery to Memphis: The Political Evolution of Martin Luther King Jr. Each have attracted a large student following during her short tenure at Oglethorpe.

Dr King’s newest course, The Politics of Hip Hop, is generating plenty of buzz on and off campus. It’s being taught in Oglethorpe’s evening degree program, which is geared toward working adults who wish to complete their undergraduate education on an accelerated schedule in a real campus setting.
